Abstract Guidelines
All registrants submitted papers for podium presentation / poster presentation/video
presentation shall give an undertaking:
- That he can present only one paper as main author, in each of the category.
- That the paper submitted is not a repetition of paper(s) presented by them in
previous IOACONS.
- They have not submitted the same, or similar, material for more than one award of
the I.O.A and that they have not won an IOA award on the same, or similar material
in previous years.
- That this work has not been presented by a co-author in any of the IOACONS or that
it has been submitted for consideration in the current IOACON.
- They are not hiding their age for consideration for awards in which age is a
criteria.
- That in case the above undertaking is found to be false they agree to a suspension
from presenting papers in the next three IOACONS.
- Only electronically submitted abstracts will be accepted.
- Abstracts must be written in English
- Abstract without the registration can be submitted. But for presenting the Abstract registration is Mandatory.
- The abstract's title or author's names/institutions must NOT be inserted in the
'Content' field.
- Do NOT use all upper-case letters when entering your abstract.
- No graphs, tables, photographs or slide presentations are accepted.
- Title of the article: Keep the title concise, reflective of the content and in the
title case.
- Authors:
List all authors with their full names and affiliations.
Designate the presenting author.
- Contact Information:
Provide contact details for the corresponding author.
Include your email address and phone number.
Abstract Structure:
Divide the abstract into sections like Purpose, Methodology, Results and Conclusions.
Purpose:
- Clearly state the primary objective or research question
addressed by the study.
- Provide context for the research problem or gap in knowledge that the study aims to
address.
- Briefly mention the significance or potential impact of the study.
Methodology:
- Outline the research design, methods and techniques used to conduct the study.
- Specify the study population or sample, data collection procedures and any
instruments or tools used.
- Mention relevant statistical or analytical approaches employed in data analysis.
- Highlight any unique or innovative aspects of the methodology.
Results:
- Present key findings and outcomes of the study.
- Use quantitative data, if applicable, to support results.
- Report any patterns, trends, or significant observations identified in the
analysis.
- Include specific details, such as effect sizes or statistical significance, if
relevant.
Conclusions:
- Summaries the main implications of the study's findings.
- Discuss how the results contribute to the existing body of
knowledge or address the research question.
- Address any limitations of the study and suggest areas for future research.
- Clearly articulate the broader significance and potential applications of the
study's conclusions.
- Word Limit: 250 words including sub-headings.
- No graphs, tables, photographs, references or slide presentations are accepted.
- The IOACON Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the topic and the form
of presentation (oral/e-poster) of the abstract or to reject it.
- Submission of an abstract implies that the presenting author will register for and
attend the Congress in Guwahati, India to present the abstract as an oral
presentation or as an e-poster if accepted.
Rights To Publish:
- In submitting the abstracts the authors also grant the organising committee, the
right to publish the abstract in electronic form.
- Once you have clicked on "Finish" at the end of the process, a
confirmation e-mail with your abstract number will be sent to the e-mail address you
entered on the first page of the abstract submission process. Please contact the
Congress Secretariat at ioaconguwahati2025@gmail.com if you have not received a
confirmation.
- A delegate can submit multiple abstracts. However, he/she can present only ONE Oral
Presentation as the main author.
- The paper submitted must not a repetition of paper(s) presented by them in previous
IOACONs
Ethical Considerations:
Mention if your research involves human subjects and confirm adherence to ethical
standards.
Award Paper
- To avoid bias, presenters should present in the template provided by the
organisers/theme.
- Institute/ affiliation not to be mentioned
- Presenters should have not submitted the same, or similar, material for more than
one award of the I.O.A and they have not won an IOA award on the same, or similar
material in previous years
- The material submitted must not have been published or presented at any national or
international meeting before this one. The organising team has the right to withdraw
the award if the rules are violated.
Time Allotted For Free Paper/ Award Papers
Free paper - 8 MINUTES +2 MINUTES of discussion
Video Presentations
- A separate hall shall be reserved for video presentations. To encourage
participation in this, members shall be invited to make presentations even if they
are presenting a free paper. Each member can make only one video presentation
- The duration of each presentation shall be 12 minutes with 3 minutes for discussion.
